TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read before booking your massage appointment.

​

  • Allow up to 1.5 hours for the initial consultation session, and approximately 1 hour for each massage treatment following the initial session.​

​

  • Payment is required by cash, check or Venmo at the time of the appointment or prior to it.

​

  • Multi horse discounts may apply for 3 or more horses treated at the same location on the same day.

​

  • The practitioner is not a veterinarian and will not diagnose any problems your horse or dog may have. If necessary, a referral to your veterinarian or other relevant professional (e.g., farrier, dentist) may be advised.

  • Our practitioners reserve the right to decline treatment for any horse or dog that displays aggression, poses a danger, or is assessed as requiring veterinary intervention.

​

  • Please be aware that any form of bodywork, such as massage, acupressure, aromatherapy, myofascial release, and laser or light therapies, should not be considered a substitute for professional veterinary care.

​

  • If your horse or dog sustains an injury, experiences lameness, or suffers from illness between booking the appointment and the session, treatment may not be possible. Please inform us at your earliest convenience if this occurs and we will work to get your appointment rescheduled.

​

  • A 24-hour cancellation policy applies. If an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, the full payment will still be due. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. Exceptional circumstances will be taken into consideration.

​

  • Ensure your horse or dog is clean and dry prior to treatment. If the horse or dog is wet or muddy and unable to be treated, the full treatment cost will still be due.

​

  • Please avoid scheduling massages during times that may be disruptive, such as feeding or turnout times. Ensure the area around your horse or dog is safe and conducive to treatment. A quiet working environment helps your horse or dog get the most out of the session.

  • All treatments are undertaken at the owner's own risk.

​

  • EquiStride Balance and Wellness is not responsible for any accidents or injuries sustained by horses, dogs, or handlers during treatment.

​

  • Initial treatments are not recommended on competition days as it may result in changes to movement patterns and timing.

​

​

Some contraindications to massage include:

  • Fever or shock

  • Fungal, bacterial, or viral infections, and certain skin conditions (e.g., ringworm)

  • Tumors

TRAVEL POLICY

Services are available within a distance of 30 minutes of Leesburg, VA and Sugarcreek, OH. Any request over 30 minutes will be charged an additional mileage surcharge or barn fee. Please contact us for information.
